DIGITAL CCTV RECORDING SYSTEM

The world is very dynamic, so the corporate security manager should not be caught at the same location for too long. For example there is a widespread awareness in the security market that in order to upgrade and improve the performance of CCTV security system, the answer is to go digital. For many users, CCTV has long been an information management headache, involving multiple cameras, endless videotapes, and slow access to recorded images. But digital video recording (DVR) is asserted as the solution of the future, ensuring cost effective, reliable and far more efficient security surveillance.

  In operational and management terms, a digital system provides distinct advantages. A major draw back of analogue installations is the use of cumbersome videotapes and the need for costly storage facilities. VCR tapes are subject to degradation and tape stress as they also have a limited life: for identifications purposes, it’s recommended they be taped over only approximately 10 times. As digital video is stored on a computer hard disk or a tiny digital tape cassette, however degradation ceases to be an issue, and digital linear tape can probably be recorded over some 10,000 times and for prolonged period. Digital technology also has the potential to make CCTV a more effective part of the user’s security strategy, by offering instant debriefing. Going digital is often viewed as an expensive business, but it is worth considering that digital Systems can save companies’ substantial amount of money in maintenance as well as manpower costs.

REMOTE INTELLIGENT VIDEO MONITORING SYSTEM

This is a system that enables you use your Digital CCTV to monitor your remote sites, branches, homes etc from a central station through the PSTN, ISDN, LAN or WAN. If you have received notification of movement being detected at the remote location or you simply want to check on your premises, you can dial into the system from a Windows PC or Laptop from the head office or from anywhere in the world and watch the cameras either individually or as a group.

  It is possible to set up individual passwords for each person who will be accessing the system remotely, each person can be granted access to all the cameras or a selection that you choose. The system can also send images from the cameras connected to it directly to the Internet. The system has a built in website and will allow you to access this from any PC with Internet access, even from a PC at an Internet Café. To prevent unauthorized use, access to the website is protected by a password.

  On a Local Area Network, the system can send images from the cameras to all the other PC’s on the Network, record on to a networked PC’s hard drive, and allow a networked PC to playback recordings made by the system locally.  FOR MORE >>>>>.
